I never liked the Hills, the City and co. I haven't given TOWIE a chance. Dear Lord, I TRIED to like the disaster that is Ireland's very own Fade Street, but it's actually brutal and I cringed my whole way through an episode before vowing never to watch it again... I guess you could say reality lifestyle shows aren't my thing.
They say to every rule there is an exception. I found mine in Made in Chelsea. I'm in love.
The girls... the boys... the drama.... THE CLOTHES. Oh my goodness, the clothes. Sloan-y goodness and some seriously hilarious lines delivered by some equally hilarious characters.
Ollie Locke, this message is for you. You are a genius and I would give anything to have a bouteille de vin with you and a lovely ol' bitch. We also have the exact same hair. Kudos.
The addition of Chloe Green, daughter of Philip Green Topshop Leader Extraordinaire, has me rather excited. Two reasons: She's gonna have awesome style..... and Gabs is gonna kill her. Boom.

Welcome to "Truffle Lily"... I think?
Choosing a blog title is TOUGH. I mean, you don't wanna sound ridiculously cheesy, but you don't exactly want to take yourself too seriously either, do you? I had been racking my brains for days, trying to conjure up something devilishly witty and impressive. I asked friends for opinions. I thought of one cute name, but it was already taken. So was the next title. And the next. And the next 20 after that. So I gave up and said I'd leave the idea fester in the back of my brain for a while. That's where the magic happens.
Still, nothing. I've never felt so pressured to be inspired in my life.
One evening, I was asked by a friend what my porn star name would be. I'm sure you know the drill with that one. First name: The name of your first pet. Surname: Your mother's maiden name. I'm Blossom Quinn. Beautiful no? No... rather than evoking some serious erotic images, it ends up making me think of the early 90s sitcom. Kitsch, but not sexy.
I figured: Why not just choose two random words I like and just call this blog exactly that. So I thought "truffle". It's a pleasant word. Say it. It's cute and it sounds lovely rolling off the tongue. Truffle. Pigs go around searching for them. Pigs are my favourite animal. It was meant to be.
I also just like lilies. Awesome flowers. There was a (wilted) bunch sitting in a (dirty) vase on the coffee table. I have trouble keeping greenery alive. In fact, I once let a cactus die. I forgot to water it.
So Truffle Lily. It's a bit girly and namby-pamby, but look, it's just a name. And a rose by any other name would smell as sweet.
